About this Trek

[{"insert": "A slow loop around the Pool, the quietest water in Central Park, with forest therapy guide Lori Klamner. This Trek is not about covering ground. It is an invitation to notice: the trees that thrive in wet ground, two waterfalls, wide open water, and how you feel at each of them.\n\nYou enter from Central Park West and cross the threshold from the city into the park. Lori's voice meets you at seven stops: a few comfortable breaths at the gate, the bald cypress and willows on the shore, a rushing waterfall where you sit and simply listen, ripples and reflections across the open Pool, a second, darker cascade at the entrance to the North Woods, and an optional climb up the Great Hill to skyline views before the loop brings you back to where you started.\n\nUnder a mile and easy: 30 to 40 minutes if you take the stops slowly, about 20 minutes more with the Great Hill. Paths are paved around the Pool, with a few steps and unpaved stretches near the Loch. Best in the morning, beautiful in autumn. B or C train to 103rd St.\n"}]
